  • Cemetery Spring Clean Up

    In preparation for Memorial Day, the Village of Middlefield is requesting that all Christmas Decorations and unwanted items be removed from the headstones in the Cemetery prior to Friday, May 20th.  Any items left will be disposed of by Village employees after the 20th.  Any question, please contact Village Administrator Dan Weir at 440-632-3521 or via email at dweir@middlefieldohio.com.

     

  • Community Garden Plots

    The Village of Middlefield will be offering Community Gardening Plots at Knox Park.  If you are a resident of the Village  you may sign up and receive a plot.  A minimum of 5 participants are needed and there are a maximum of 16 plots available.  An application can be picked up at the Municipal Center Monday through Friday 8am to 5 pm.  Community Garden Contract

  • Middlefield SummerFest, June 18, 2016 ~ Parade Info …

    This year, Middlefield SummerFest is June 18 at Harrington Square. The fabulous annual parade will step off at 1p.m.; parade participants are to line up 11:30 a.m. at Jordak Elementary. IMG_6740
    SummerFest activities will include: Barrel Train Rides, Zip Line, Mechanical Bull, entertainment either live or dj, Mark the Magician, Rocket Car, Photo Booth, Dunk Tank, (with proceeds for Shop With Cops) inflatables, speed pitch, bungee basketball and an obstacle course also many varieties of food vendors and beer tent.   • Brush Chipping

    The Village of Middlefield will begin Brush Chipping for the 2016 season on April 6, 2016.  The Service Department will provide brush chipping services for its residents, excluding Commercial and Industrial business establishments, on the first Wednesday of each month from April to November and limited to the following:
    < For the disposal of small amounts of brush and branches that are removed by residents for normal maintenance and upkeep of property. Total amount of brush chipping service time spent at any residence shall be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes.  All remaining materials must be removed from public view within 48 hours after the chipping service date.
    < For brush and branches less than 6 inches in diameter, placed at the curb with the butt end placed towards the street perpendicular to the curb, free of string, wire, rope or material, in piles no higher than 4 feet.
    < For brush and branches places at the residents curb no sooner than 3 days prior to chipping service date.
    < For shrubs and roots free of dirt from normal maintenance and upkeep of property.

  • Annual Clean-Up Day

    The Village of Middlefield will hold it’s Annual Clean-Up Day on May 21, 2016.  Universal Disposal will once again being doing house to house curb pickup starting at 6:30 am.

    Freon does not have to be removed from appliances.  Doors MUST be removed from refrigerator and freezers.

    UNACCEPTABLE items include: Paint, Hazardous Chemicals, Batteries, Yard Waste, No Metal Items over 4 foot in length and NO tires.
