Leslie serves as the Director of Economic Development. She oversees business recruitment and retention efforts across the Village. Prior to her role with the Village, Leslie served as the Economic Development Director for the City of Maple Heights. A graduate of Bowling Green State University and DeVry University, Leslie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree along with Masters in Business Administration.

Married to Karen (Brewster) both 1972 graduates of Cardinal High School. Four children, three grandchildren, Village resident for 48 years, Village councilman 2005 present. Graduated Kent State Geauga 1994. Held various management positions over the past 30+ years, in the manufacturing of rubber and plastics products. “Growing the industrial, commercial and retail business base in Middlefield is a major focus of this village administration, and I am honored to be part of the Economic Development Committee charged with making that happen. Middlefield is my hometown, and I look forward to helping make it an even better place for businesses and families to raise their children.”

Emily believes in taking care of an area and seeing it prosper.  If the grass is greener elsewhere maybe it’s time to ask why?  What are they doing that we can do or what can we do better?

The Village Council for the Village of Middlefield created a standing committee known as the “Economic Development Committee” (EDC) to review all matters concerning potential new commercial and industrial development within the Village as well as the preservation and enhancement of current commercial and industrial businesses and residential properties within the Village. The EDC serves as an aggressive partner for commercial and industrial developers to streamline commercial property searches, learn about available economic incentives, fulfill workforce needs and provide quick, reliable ANSWERS.
