Want to join us for the America 250 Patriotic Picnic this fall in Middlefield? Everyone who submits an America 250 Decorating Program entry form and decorates by Labor Day will qualify for an invitation!
Participating is easy! Display your patriotic spirit with an American flag, wreath, bunting, flowers, porch decorations, or any red, white, and blue display. Simply complete an entry form (link below or pick one up at the Village office), post your official America 250 yard sign (available at the Village office), and decorate.
Please note: Judging is already underway and is limited to those who had entered before judging began. Those participants will be included in the current judging rounds. Winners will be notified privately and recognized publicly at future Village Council meetings, on social media, and through local press releases.
If you enter and decorate between now and Labor Day, you won’t be part of the current decorating contest, but you will receive an invitation to the America 250 Patriotic Picnic this fall.
We’ve loved seeing the growing number of patriotic displays throughout Middlefield. If you’ve decorated, send us a photo—we’d love to feature your home or business on our social media pages.

The Village of Middlefield invites residents and businesses to join the America 250 Decorating Celebration as we honor our nation’s 250th birthday. Decorate your home, storefront, business, restaurant, office, or neighborhood with patriotic pride and help make Middlefield shine red, white, and blue!
Participants can enter to win awards in a variety of residential and business categories, including Best Front Porch, Best Lighting Display, Best Storefront Display, Best Window Display, and more. Official “Proud Participant – America 250 – Middlefield, Ohio” yard signs and entry forms are available at the Village of Middlefield offices.
Judging will take place during the week of July 4, with winners receiving official award signs and recognition through Village social media, the Village website, and local media.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Middlefield America250 Drone Show, proudly sponsored by the Village of Middlefield, on June 13, 2026. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Richard A. Moss Field at Cardinal High School Stadium, this stunning show will light up the sky as we honor 250 years of American history.
Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind event featuring state-of-the-art drone technology, captivating visuals, and a celebration of our nation’s rich heritage. Bring your family and friends for a night full of excitement, awe, and patriotic spirit. The show kicks off at 9:30pm, so be sure to arrive early to secure your spot. Seating will be available on the home side for optimal viewing.
